On April 21, 22, and 23 1997, MobiusTrip was presented in the Performing Arts Building at Virginia Tech. MobiusTrip was the last in a series of three groundbreaking on-line performances comprising a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts final project. The three productions boasted audience from as far as Austria and as close as campus. Multi-directional video conferencing allowed artists and audiences interact in real time on the internet. Through video, live performance, stills, and text we join Mobius in a voyage through his memories. Bittersweet at times, we engage his past stripping away layers to understand the man better. MobiusTrip is a photo-montage and collage of thoughts and experiences. It reminds us of the beauty in childhood but also the pain.
