Short documentary on Wisconsin Independent Telephone Companies that led the nation in providing television over copper wire. These are small companies deploying very advanced technologies in 1999, whereas todays AT&T (the renamed phone company attempting to re-unite, not the floundering long distance one) advertises as though they invented it. Oddly enough it was the same type of VDSL technologies that AT&T is again foundering to deploy, where Independent Telephone companies are moving on toward fiber to the home.
