Well, we found where they got the grapes for the “mushroom cloud flavor bomb” of Zinfandel, the Late Harvest zin we reviewed earlier. “Everything tastes like chocolate,” the Donk said, reading the label. “It's like chicken—everything tastes like chicken.” Yeah, we know. “It smells like a new car interior,” he said. “But rich cherry, blackberry, anise—yeah, it's got all those. It tastes like the label. It's pretty good, straight out the gate.” After some discussion about how roads are striped, we decided—this is another great wine from Rosenblum. “But no chicken,” the Donk said. Rosenblum sent us this one. They're brave. It costs $15 from them here.
