A Day At The Beach

My wife was going to be extremely busy the whole day, so I decided to take Alyssa to the beach to meet my parents at their beach house. We went out on my parents boat to Hammocks Beach (Bear Islands, NC) and the surrounding marsh. Hammocks Beach is full of pirate and indian history. It is one of the only beaches in this area that is unspoiled by man an untouched by time. The infamous pirate Blackbeard used this island to store his "treasures" and also used it as a hideout. After Blackbeard's murder, a fort was built on the nose of the island to protect from further outlaws. In this video, you will see Alyssa running around on a section of beach, this is where the fort once stood.
