In fact, it's not the buttons which are retarded, it's SmartSnap! Watch your tutorial carefully and you'll notice that each time you create a chip (the timer, substract, constant value, etc.) you press "E" to snap to the grid and because you are near the buttons, they act as if you were aiming at them and they activate themselves. It's weird and I have the same "problem".
