Vickey Moore was awarded the 2007 Leadership Award in conjunction with Prince George's County, Maryland National Disabilities Employment Awareness Month. For 19 years she advocated for herself to leave a nursing home and now for the last five months has lived independently in her own home in bowie. She participates in the ACCESS program of United Cerebral Palsy of Prince George's and Montgomery Counties and works at Giant Foods.
