Retrieve training with treats

Baron was rescued from the pound by my brother. I took him for a stint to evaluate if he would be a hunter or not...he sure is enthusiastic! I taught him to retrieve using positive reinforcement in 4 training sessions. The basic idea is to teach the behavior first up close and in control and then increase the distance and lack of control as the pup perfects each step. I wrote a blog, posted on my Web site called the Rule of 3. This is the structure for most of my training.
