In Ubuntu you can have 4 desktops for work, then it's more easy be organized, not how in Microsoft Windows where you only have a desktop and all programs are running here.

What problem do you have when Ubuntu boot? Visit http://ubuntuforums.org, open a thread with your question, some minutes later you will have a response for your problems. A friend also had problems with Ubuntu because his graphics card uses Via chipset.
