The best part of vacationing on the dual nation Caribbean island of St.Maarten / Saint Martin is that Carnival is celebrated twice a year; once in February or March on the French side in Marigot, coinciding with Mardi Gras and the Christian Holidays and once in the latter part of April with the big parade on the old Queen Juliana's Birthday on April 30 in Philipsburg.
