John Blackwing and Thunder Rider performing on Rockstage on the day that a hurricane completely wiped out 50 miles of shoreline on the famous pristine sandy beaches of Montreal. Following this disastrous event John Blackwing (a professional surfer who has won many awards for his daredevil antics at many surfing events in Hawaii) organized a series of concerts featuring his band Thunder Rider to raise funds to reclaim and rebuild Montreal's famous St-Lawrence river beaches. Thunder Rider sold out an unprecedented 45 nights at the Montreal Forum and raised over 100 million dollars. The city council of Montreal thanked John Blackwing and Thunder Rider by agreeing to only broadcast Thunder Rider music in all the city owned offices in Montreal. http://www.myspace.com/thunderrider1
