Fresh insights of children’s portraits, in paintings and drawings by Picasso, Matisse and Petar Tale. Video refers to Picasso’s painting, of his son Paul in Paul Drawing, oil on canvas, from the Musee Picasso, Paris together with Matisse’s portrait of his son Pierre, oil and canvas in The Piano Lesson, from MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), New York. Revealing instruction emerges when these images are shown alongside the child portraiture of Petar Tale, in media such as acrylic, watercolour and graphite. Written and narrated by Janet Wilson. Directed by Magnus Hoerthe.
